"Over 30 people on Team Riccio walked for 2miles on Sunday, Oct. 17th at Hammonassett State Park in Madison Connecticut to raise money for The Cove. The Cove is a center for grieving children who have lost a loved one. We walked in honor of Eddy Riccio who passed away two years ago from cancer. His children organized the team and his daughter designed the t-shirt in memory of her father."
"Our team wanted to do something special during the month of October for breast cancer awareness. We decided to sponsor a field hockey game called Play 4 The Cure against our rival school. We wore our newly designed T shirts in blue tie dye (blue is our school color) with pink writing. We had each team members name and number printed on the back of their shirt with a field hockey emblem on the sleve and Play4TC on the front. We also wore pink ribbons in our hair and pink tie dye socks. We raised donations from team members and sale of cookies to give to Komen breast cancer. "Team Murphy- doing the "Step Out for Hospice" Walk, Woburn MA. Over the last 3 years the Murphy family has lost two amazing grandparents to cancer. Thanks to the Hospice association our loved ones were taken care of and made comfortable. Over 50 people walked in memory of Mike and Julie Murphy, and to help raise money for such a noble cause. The shirts from customink.com only amplified the love and unity of our family and friends on the walk. We hope to get 100 people on the team next year!"
