"We held our first annual "BOOB" Camp at Flex Fitness here in Lexington, Ky to help raise money to donate to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Lexington Affiliate. We had participants donate whatever amount they could and offered them 30 minutes of Boot Camp, 30 minutes of Zumba, and 30 minutes of Yoga. It was a huge success and we had a blast!! "We ran the Dirty Girl Mud Run in Wisconsin on August 18th. It was a BLAST! Some of the proceeds for this race are donated to breast cancer research which is wonderful but the real reason we entered this race was because of a family friend. This courageous woman beat her breast cancer into remission at age 29 and was unfortunately diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer again at 33. She is an inspiration to all of us. Working with CustomInk has been fantastic. They were timely, did great work, and even made a small donation ($20) to our family friend. Every little bit helps! "My company was involved in a philanthropy project at Embry Rucker Homeless Shelter in Reston, VA. The shelter created a landscaping project for us, which included mulching, weeding, planting trees and flowers, etc. We had a blast and took a group photo next to their main entrance. I am the director of philanthropy at my company, and was looking for matching t-shirts based off of my design that we can continue to use for our Brittenford Systems philanthropy projects.
