"This photograph was taken at Penn State's Relay for Life. The event took place on the weekend of 4/13-4/14. Relay for Life partners with the American Cancer Society to find a cure to cancer. The College of EMS is dedicated to putting an end to all cancers, and also participates in the philanthropic event, THON. The Nittany Lion represents all that Penn State stands for! Our "Believe in a Cure" team has participated in this charity event for four years because we are dedicated to the fight for more birthdays! "Our Relay For Life Committee ordered CustomInk crew sweatshirts with our tagline, "I am 5C Relay!" on the back. To promote ourselves, we made a Harlem Shake video where everyone began in normal clothes and then wore the sweatshirts for the harlem shake part. "Since my father was diagnosed with lung cancer in early 2011, family and friends have gathered together to fight cancer at our local Relay for Life event in Delran, NJ. Sadly, Pops lost his battle with cancer shortly after the first Relay for Life event. When family members visited Disney World about a year after his death, they honored him by wearing their Pops' Pride T-shirts and bringing along my father's T-shirt for a perfect picture with Cinderella Castle as the backdrop.
