"This is the photo of our Lake Tahoe Relay Team running in to the finish with our final runner. Seven of us (one had to leave early) ran 72 miles around Lake Tahoe in 11 hours of climbing hills and thin air! The DeCelle Memorial Lake Tahoe Relay is the oldest running relay in the US (so I'm told); this was the 47th annual, created to honor a son and fallen soldier in the DeCelle family. The race is still primary family run, and it has the feeling of a community race. We had a fabulous time, and everyone LOVED our Custom-Ink T-shirts, complete with our nicknames and numbers on the backs!"

"Our shirts were for Relay For Life to benefit the American Cancer Society. Our team was on the track from 2pm to 6am, and we wore our purple shirts with pride. CustomInk was great and we'll be going back to them for the next relay!"

"Here we are, team “Yes We Mes-Cans!” holding our medals, after finishing our hot but fun Beach to Bay Marathon Relay in Corpus Christi, TX.
The relay race is held each year on the 3rd Saturday of May (Armed Forces Day) to honor our nation’s men and women serving in the U.S. Military. Thousands of runners participate in this event every year. This is the 5th year we run it and each year the 6 person team is a little different than the year before. The team is usually composed of family members and close friends who want to take a stab at a 3.8 – 4.8 mile run (depending on the leg).
On the team this year, we were proud to have our youngest team member ever, 8- year old Elijah Rivera! He ran the 4.36mi long 3rd leg and proudly handed off his baton to his former Marine dad, (seated to the left) Albert Rivera. Former Air Force Enlisted member, Javier Rivera (me, kneeling center) ran the 3.41mi 1st leg and handed off to Active Duty Air Force member (standing next to me), Leslie Ponce. She has run this event the last 3 years and is one of the most athletic runners on our team having accomplished two half marathons, one full marathon and several 5 and 10k’s. Rose Gonzalez (cousin, standing far right) saved the day by volunteering to run last minute. She wasn’t prepared to run a race like this but was brave enough to accept our plea for an alternate runner. She did well after trudging for 4.20 miles where she handed off to my son, Alex Rivera (son, standing left). My 16 year old soccer star ran the longest leg (4.89 miles) and came in strong to the finish line. This was his 3rd time running this race.
I would like to thank CustomInk for their professionalism and great customer service. The shirts turned out better than expected. The ink was vibrant and you did a great job touching up my design. Our team loved them! We received lots of compliments from runners and spectators and you bet we mentioned your name!

"We walked at the relay for life in Scotch Plains, NJ on May 20th-21st. Many people on our family have lost grandmothers, aunts, mothers, uncles, and friends from breast and testicle cancer or have had someone close to them fight it out. The first girl on the left, is Jaime. She had lost her mother to breast cancer in the past year. Than comes Shaina who lost one grandmother and the other one is now battling. Than Chelsea, who knew of someone with testicular cancer. Than Alex, who is very close to me. Than there is me, I have lost my aunt to ovarian cancer, my grandmother fought through 9 different cancers, and my mother battled through breast cancer recently. Than Miranda, whose grandmother died of breast cancer in the past two years. And Marina, whose aunt died of ovarian cancer and grandmother died of breast cancer. We all decided to come together and walk in our relay for life for the second year in a row. There are so many different types of personalities on our team, but when it comes to creating more birthdays and fighting out the beast, we were there for each other, holding each others hands and being the shoulder to cry on for them all throughout the night. There were more team members but we couldn't manage to get everyone in a picture at the same time. This was just the girls on the team. We thank Custom Ink so much for all of their help with coloring and getting it to us on time. This its the second year we have used Custom Ink and done relay for life, and we can't wait for next year!"
