"Our youngest has autism. Our eldest put together a walk team, The Garrison 500, to participate in the Autism Speaks Carolinas Walk Now For Autism that was held 10/8/11. The Garrison 500 is a racing metaphor ... we walk on the actual Carolinas Motor Speedway. Additionally, it was our goal to obtain donations from 500 different people. The walk was a huge success.
Everyone loved our shirts -- we were the only group in red that I saw."
