Marc Katz | Chairman and CEO
Before co-founding Custom Ink in 2000, Marc worked as a financial analyst at a Wall Street firm. Marc earned his B.A. in Physics from Harvard University and graduated in 1998. While there, Marc led and supervised public service programs through the Phillips Brooks House Association.
Ted Leonsis | Director
Ted Leonsis is a co-founder and partner in Revolution Growth, which invests speed-up capital in businesses outside of Silicon Valley that are leveraging technology and new models to disrupt existing, multi-billion dollar industries and invested in Custom Ink in November 2013. An ardent entrepreneur, he's helped build numerous groundbreaking companies, from AOL to Snagfilms, and is founder, chairman, majority owner, and CEO of Monumental Sports & Entertainment, which owns the Washington Capitals, Wizards, and Mystics, as well as the Capital One Arena in downtown Washington, D.C. Ted also sits on a variety of boards, including American Express and Groupon, and is the former vice chairman and president of AOL.
Lawrence Miller | Director
Lawrence Miller was an early investor in Custom Ink. He holds a BBA and MBA from Temple University and has spent 45 years operating both private and public companies. Larry was President and CEO of StoneMor Partners, a public master limited partnership, which is a leader in the death care industry, from April 2004 until May 2017. He has also been a board member or adviser for multiple organizations, including a computer products company, a private equity fund, a public tax preparation company, a summer camp for ill children, and the World Presidents’ Organization, a member-driven educational organization for current and former company presidents.
Frederick Perkins | Director
Frederick Perkins was a seed investor in Custom Ink and has acted as an informal adviser since 2004. After receiving his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1961, he worked for IBM and Price Waterhouse. Fred then spent 35 years as an entrepreneur building companies, including Revco, Calumet Photographic, Cambo Photographic, PhotoMarketplace, Americare Health Services, Americare Group Purchasing and Atlantic Medical Supply. Since 2003, he has been Chairman & CEO of Fresh Roast Systems, a provider of innovative on-site coffee roasting equipment.
Fred Schaufeld | Director
Fred Schaufeld acted as an informal adviser to Custom Ink before becoming an investor and board member in 2010. Fred founded NEW Corp. (now NEW Asurion Corp.) in 1983 with a $79 investment. NEW Asurion is now the world’s largest consumer product protection company, employing over 18,000 people throughout the globe. In 2006 Mr. Schaufeld founded SWaN Investors (predecessor to SWaN & Legend Venture Partners) with Tony Nader and Cliff White. Mr. Schaufeld sits on the boards of Fund investments Custom Ink, KIND, José Andrés’ Think Food Group, Noodle Companies and Sugar 23. He holds a BA from Lehigh University, participates in several professional and industry organizations, and sits on a number of corporate and philanthropic boards.
