About this campaign

The mission of the “Concert Across America” is to remember the tremendous loss of life that gun violence has cost our communities. In 2007, Congress designated September 25 as the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. And while two out of every three victims are killed with a firearm, the day of “remembrance” is the only thing Congress has done to acknowledge this loss. While we need to be respectful of what this day stands for, we must also demand that Congress mandate background checks for every gun sale, too.

New Jersey based songwriter, Anker, has coordinated the West Windsor, NJ concert on Sept 25 at Grover's Mill Coffee House (12pm-5pm) with 4 other accomplished local performers. We all feel the epidemic of gun violence is a huge national problem and we need to have more attention on solutions. The overuse of dismissive cliches, like "thoughts & prayers", give an illusion of attention to a problem. The Sept 25 concerts across the country show a little bit of action & progress toward a solution.
