Save Flint Youth

Hope For Trust USA has set up this fund for Flint city youths -- who are disproportionately poor and black -- facing an unprecedented water crisis as their sinks, bathtubs and water hoses have been gushing lead-contaminated water for more than a year.

Researchers confirmed in September 2015 that Flint, MI water contained dangerous levels of lead due to pipe corrosion. Among the most concerned are thousands of youth who could potentially experience cognitive and physical development, leading to issues from lower IQs and aggression problems, to anemia and kidney dysfunction from the lead poisoning. 100% of the fund is used for the purchase of filters, bottled water, and emergency support services as we partnered with Flint Community Schools to distribute the clean water to families and individuals in need, as supplies allow.Through all little talk of Flint in the media, healthy water is still needed.
