About this campaign
Our 2nd annual virtual Shark Week 5k, focused on keeping plastic out of our oceans! On Saturday, October 17th we will all head out in our own communities to pick up as much trash as possible along our 5k route. Once you finish, send us a picture (over Facebook or Instagram) of the trash collected for a chance to win some amazing prizes from over 15 eco-conscious companies! You can also use #SharkWeek5k to be featured on our social media! All proceeds from this event will benefit Shark Allies, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit shark conservation agency dedicated to reversing our impact on the shark population and the ocean. I have always loved sharks and have been teaching my kids since they could walk, to pick up garbage to protect our oceans and earth! Super excited for this 5k!
I love nature and the amount of sharks and other marine animals that have been killed either for products or by ocean plastics is disgusting, so I would like to make a difference and support the cause to help raise awareness.
