Fifty years ago, one of the most famous men on Earth voluntary entered USP Leavenworth. In honor of the 50th anniversary of Johnny Cash's visit to USP Leavenworth, we have decided to recreate the original t-shirt design! USP Leavenworth's legendary history began in 1897. We've had many famous and infamous visitors and outlaws over the years, but few visits remain as memorable as Cash's performance. When Cash finally took the stage he told the 1,200-strong crowd “This is the same show we did for President Nixon, but we’re going to try a little harder here.”
