About this campaign
All proceeds go to the LiveLikeRyan Foundation which was established in honor of the life of service lived so brightly by Ryan Andrew Hayworth.
Ryan began serving while in Junior High School and spent countless hours working on projects and events such as Soup Kitchens, Mission Trips, Workdays for the Elderly, Youth Camps, and even served as a Bible Study Leader at Faith Baptist Church in Knightdale, North Carolina.
After graduating High School Ryan continued his life of service by joining the Army National Guard where he was deployed during two Hurricane Relief Efforts and deployed again for 14 Months during Operation Enduring Freedom in the Middle East.
After returning from deployment, Ryan entered the Police Academy and continued to serve his community as he joined the Knightdale Police Department.
Officer Ryan Hayworth tragically lost his life at the young age of 23 when he was struck and killed by an impaired driver while investigating an accident on I-540 in Knightdale. Ryan had only been on the Police Department for 3 months.
But Ryan’s story does not end on October 17, 2021. Ryan’s legacy of a life of service continues to influence others to serve people around them and to live a life for Christ.
The LiveLikeRyan Foundation plans to award competitive scholarships to kids and teens who desire to become involved in wholesome, life changing opportunities, such as youth camps or mission trips, where the message of Christ is spread during volunteer humanitarian relief work. Ryan found that these activities not only helped others but provided character building experiences for him that helped mold him into someone who served.
