About this campaign
$25 Registration and a t-shirt: follow the instructions to order your t-shirt with your preferred size. Please provide your full name so we can ensure you receive the correct shirt the day of (but you can make your contribution publicly seen as anonymous). Email your Rabies Run Registration form (found here) to margaret.knox@wsu.edu or claire.colombini@wsu.edu. Click pick up from Margaret Knox and shirts will be delivered the day of the race at check-in (9:30 am).
$20 Registration without a t-shirt: select the "Donation-only" option on Custom Ink. Email your Rabies Run Registration form (found here) to margaret.knox@wsu.edu or claire.colombini@wsu.edu.
The 2023 SAVMA 5k Rabies Run will start outside Bustad Hall at 10 am (check in starts at 9:30am) on Saturday October 21st. The run will be zombie themed and runners will run through an approximately 1 mile loop where zombies will attempt to steal flags from them.
There will be a prize drawing at the end of the event. Each runner will receive one ticket for participating, another ticket will be given for runners in costume, and an additional ticket for each flag the runner has after completing the zombie loop. The fastest male-presenting and female-presenting runner will also receive an extra ticket.
Please wait to hear back from Claire/Meg about being a zombie before proceeding on CustomInk because the zombie spots may have filled up!!! If you are interested in volunteering to be a zombie, please contact Claire (claire.colombini@wsu.edu). You will receive a discounted t-shirt ($10). You will still fill out the Rabies Run Registration Form, but your shirt will be ordered separately.
The annual SAVMA Rabies Run is a 5K zombie themed fun run to raise money for the Rabies Free Africa campaign. The campaign's goal is to vaccinate dogs in Africa against rabies to prevent zoonotic infections and with the goal of eradicating rabies by 2030. The campaign has already reached 5 million vaccines!
