About this campaign

Backyard Mission Camp was established in 2016 as a way to get students engaged in serving locally and taking care of the people in their own community. This year the proceeds from our annual t-shirt fundraiser will go towards materials and supplies to build a pretty big wheelchair ramp. This ramp is for a 13 year-old girl, Kayla, who has spina bifida. She is confined to a wheelchair and doesn't have safe access into her home. Kayla is literally picked up and carried in by her parents and brother. We're so excited to get to do this ramp for Kayla and her family ... for our students to get to take on this scale of a build for someone their own age is what Backyard is all about.

neighborjpgBackyard engages students in service; teaching them about local resources and giving them the tools they need to serve on their own. By doing these things at a young age and doing them consistently, we will create a generation of confident, compassionate servants who will take care of the people around them.
