About this campaign

Backyard began in 2016; developed by the tenacious youth ministry at Epworth United Methodist Church who loved serving together. We invite students 6th-12th grade to learn about where they live and invest in their community. We spend a week building ramps, stairs, porches, doing yard work, painting and odd jobs. Buy a shirt or make a donation and we can re-invest it into our local community and our neighbors.

We engage students in service; teaching them about local resources and giving them the tools they need to serve on their own. If we start doing these things at a young age and doing them consistently, we will create a generation of confident, compassionate servants who will take care of the people around them; serving in their own Backyards.
