The 12th Annual Midnight Sun Color Run will be Saturday July 25, 2026 at 3:00pm. The "virtual" aspect of the color run always has such great support, so we are offering the fundraiser tee for I.F.O.P.A. through Custom Ink which allows members of our Kotzebue community, as well as anyone across Alaska and beyond, to join us as we raise funds to COLOR OUT F.O.P. in honor of Dilyn Martin.
The intent of the Midnight Sun Color run is threefold: one, we hope to raise awareness for Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva, or FOP which means, "soft connective tissue that progressively turns to bone,” which Dilyn Martin --one of our own Kotzebue community members-- suffers from, two, all proceeds raised from this virtual race and tee fundraiser will be donated to IFOPA, the association dedicated to funding research and finding a cure for this debilitating disease and lastly, we hope to organize the FUNNEST 5K above the Arctic Circle (and beyond in 2026!)
