Blood Cancer United, formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), is the largest global nonprofit focused on serving all blood cancer patients, investing over $1.9B in groundbreaking research and critical support services since 1949. Our mission is to cure blood cancer and improve the quality of life for all patients and their families. With a more inclusive name, we share our continued commitment to addressing the 100+ subtypes of blood cancer, researching better treatments and guiding patients through every step of their journey.

Our 39th annual signature black-tie gala will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. This powerful event has raised over $76 million since 1988 in support of groundbreaking research, critical patient services, and equitable access to treatment for all individuals with blood cancer. With star-studded entertainment, dinner, dancing, and high-energy auctions, we hope this impactful evening will help us achieve our goal of $2.5M for a cure in 2026.
