6/7: Because Normal People Stop at 2… We Don’t

The Story Behind the Tee; It all started on a random Tuesday when one of our volunteers—who already had two perfectly spoiled dogs at home—walked into the rescue with that look. You know the look. The “Don’t ask questions, just grab a leash” look.

Behind her was a tiny, muddy, overly excited foster pup who clearly had no plans of returning anywhere except someone’s couch.

When we asked her, “Another dog? Really?” she shrugged and said, “Look… normal people stop at 2. I stopped being normal a long time ago.”

And honestly? Same.

Because at our rescue, we’ve all learned the same universal truth: There is ALWAYS room for one more. One more stray. One more foster. One more set of paws curled up at the end of the bed.

So when we started joking that the perfect number of dogs is actually 6/7, because you’re always one dog away from the next perfect addition… the joke stuck. Hard.

Now it’s a lifestyle. A personality trait. A math equation we stand firmly behind.

And thus, the “6/7: Because Normal People Stop at 2… We Don’t” shirt was born — a fundraiser tee for all the dog-loving, rule-breaking, hearts-too-big-for-their-own-good humans just like us. All proceeds go directly to helping the next “one more” who wanders through our doors.
