About this campaign

The Marion County Coalition Against Drug Use is committed to providing families with support, awareness, education, resources, and guidance to help prevent and reduce drug use in Marion County and surrounding areas. Through the generosity of communtiy donations, the Coalition also supports individuals who are working to regain stability and move forward in recovery. In addition to funding Coalition activities, donations help meet immediate needs such as transportation, housing, food, laundry services, and other essentials that enable individuals to maintain stability and continue their recovery journey. Each year, we also host an event in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day. This gathering provides an opportunity to support individuals and families affected by substance use, remember loved ones lost, and educate our community. We kindly request your support as we honor the memory of our precious son, raise awareness about mental health, and gather funds for this great cause.

1000065841jpgOur beloved son, Gavin, tragically passed away on February 8, 2017 at the age of 17. He was incredibly smart, talented, creative, kind hearted, and was always willing to help those in need. To honor his memory we want to do something each year to help support our community and raise mental health awareness. Please know that you're important, you're loved, and you're presence on this earth makes a difference. Always remember that no matter what you face, you are stronger than the storm.
