Celebration of Art and Life

I have been heavily involved with sci-fi comics and film since 75. I have attended many conventions since that time when they were family oriented places were you could take children. When I was younger I found that I was the only African American that attend these conventions from 77 till the mid 80's and was always seeking characters of color that I could identify with, hence I was a huge nerd. I always wanted to get into special effects and model building, but at that time no school or programs were in existence. I began to self teach myself the necessary skills by making my own films. I won the N.A.A.C.P award for best film in 82 and best animated film in 83 while still in high school. Since then I have followed the steady progressions of Marvel comics, DC comics and a vast array of other film companies that have emerged since then till the present day. In 96 I moved to Europe and lived in Paris France for, where I continued to push my skills in costume and jewelry development to add to my film creativity. Taking a cue from the conventions that I had experienced in my youth I began creating my own events that supported my work and that of others to combine a unique social experience that people of all colors and ages could attend. The popularity of my events caught the attention of Vivian Westwood which lead to a small but effective photo article in the May issue of French Vogue issue 787. This in turn lead me to further push the envelope of my events in Ibiza Spain, Germany and finally Oslo Norway. Since returning to the states I have now created ten events in Los Angels entitled 'The Nethrim' 'A Pulp Event',base on my first graphic novel created in 99 called 'Perfect Grey'. I have now a body of work that includes 18 screenplays, 64 short stories and an array of jewelry and costume creations that I know will be the new edge in this genre. blessings and thank you for your interest in my work.
