Society is the Sum of Our Love

About this campaign

This fundraiser will support the production of a 6 episode podcast called "Society is the Sum of Our Love," by Ravi Chandra, M.D. (Letters from a Psychiatrist on Substack) and a major producer. We are aiming for early 2028 release. The production will involve major research and creative work by Dr. Chandra.

I hope you might support my creative project. For me, it can be a labor of love and generosity, but my production partners will need to get paid. I intend to produce a 6 episode podcast called “Society is the Sum of Our Love.” I intend to explore love, compassion, and nurture as essentials to mental health and social well-being, as well as their antagonists in cruelty from psychopathology to structural violence. A big bite indeed! If I can get this off the ground, I hope to launch it via a major media partner in early 2028, who has agreed (as long as they get paid). (No, I don’t threaten the ‘death of a civilization’ if you don’t support! But this is what we are up against. Sigh. Please help me do my part, as I’m united with you in yours.)

(There have been some qualms about the yellow t-shirt design. Please know that I do believe we have to hear difficult things to truly build a ’society that is the sum of our love.’ Otherwise, it’s the “death of a civilization” indeed. How else can we defuse fear and threat, other than with love and reason?)
