About this campaign

Families Helping Families of Greater Baton Rouge's (FHFGBR's) 11th Annual Active for Autism 5K Run, Fun Walk & Family Fun Fest promotes awareness, acceptance & inclusion of those who are affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. This event provides community education while generating partnerships with families & organizations across the Greater Baton Rouge, eight-parish area. Proceeds from AFA support FHFGBR's program: the Resource Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (RCASD) which provides individualized services, information & support needed to positively enhance the independence, productivity & inclusion of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Families Helping Families of Greater Baton Rouge is a non-profit resource center organized and directed by family members of individuals with disabilities. We support families whose members have physical, cognitive, mental, emotional, or behavioral disabilities. Our own experiences further our commitment in reaching out to these families. We serve the following parishes — East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, West Feliciana, Ascension, Pointe Coupee, Iberville, and Livingston.

Our mission is to provide the individualized services, information, resources, and support to positively enhance the independence, productivity, and integration of persons with disabilities into the community.
