Advocate for Audree

Audree started to have seizures just after her 2 month doctor appointment. The seizures have continued to last longer, be closer together, and takes longer for her to recover. Our daughter Audree was diagnosed with Hemimegalencephaly and extensive cortical dysplasia in the left frontal lobe. In simple terms, her left hemisphere is significantly larger than the right and she has spikes of abnormal brain activity in her left frontal lobe, causing seizures (she doesn't have specific triggers like lights, sound, etc. to cause them).Audree will need to see a pediatric neurologist, epilepsy doctor, a physical therapist, and an occupational therapist.Right now, it is too early to tell how much this will affect her or how developmentally delayedshe will be, if at all. We definitely see God in all this as we arereceiving treatment at JohnsHopkins.We appreciate all the love, support, and prayers that are being lifted up!
