About this campaign
The AAA/APM has two main missions. One is to see that the Air Power Museum preserves and educates the public about our aviation heritage. Two is that the APM, the AAA, and Antique Airfield, remain the site for the annual AAA/APM Invitational Fly-in that means so much to antique airplane owners nationwide, because it is the place where the “grass roots” of antique aviation can still be experienced.
The Antique Airplane Association, Inc. (AAA) is a member-focused organization dedicated to the preservation and operation of pre-1956 aircraft. The Air Power Museum (APM) is a charitable organization (IRS 501 C-3) that preserves antique aircraft, related artifacts and data at its facilities at Antique Airfield (IA27) near Blakesburg, Iowa. In the mid 70's, I learned to fly in a 1946 Taylorcraft BC12-D and own and fly one to this day. I have a strong interest and enjoy older aircraft.
