About this campaign
Annette Island School District’s first Xsoo Club (Canoe club) is planning to travel to Celebration 2026 in Juneau! Xsoo Club is a group that brings together the community with students at AISD by having a family member travel with a student. We are also training AISD staff to be club leaders as one part of the effort to integrate Ts’msyen culture into their classrooms. This will be the very first time canoes from Metlakatla will be traveling to Juneau for Celebration and we will be the group that are traveling from the southernmost community of southeast Alaska. We are asking for your support to help us get there, because when we pull together as our ancestors did, anything is possible. Wayi Wah!
