About this campaign

This Booster is to helpus out with financial cost with Alaina. Alaina was diagnosed at 12 weeks gestation with a fatal birth defect called Anencephaly. There is no cure or treatment for this condition. They only give our precious girl moments to 2 weeks to live. We have put it in the Lords hands and decided to carry her as long as the Lord will let us! Please keep us in your prayers!

June 19th 2015 we found out we were expecting again. To us this was a great surprise since we had been trying on our own since this past July. I had been praying to conceive on our own. My prayer had came true! We found out our due date was February 13th 2016. We were so excited I really wanted a girl but mainly just wanted a healthy baby boy or girl!

July 27th my blood pressure was up it was late that afternoon I was planning to go on to the ER but it went down so I waited and went to the doctor the next day. While there they decided to go ahead with my 1st trimester screening which included blood work and another ultrasound. I had just seen our precious little baby 2 weeks before but I was in total amazement of how much he/she had grown in such a short amount of time. One of my best friends (Amber) was there with me and I can remember telling her "it looks just like Jace" Moments later the ultrasound tec said there looks to be a cyst on the top of the baby's head I'm going to have the doctor to check it out. I always thought that if I ever got the news that something might possibly wrong with my baby that I would lose it. But I didn't I was so calm. The doctor came in and told us what he saw and that it could be a numerous of different things but he thought that the baby's skull just fused improperly leaving fluid on the outside and it would be a quick fix after birth. But he wanted a second set of eyes to look so he sent us to the Maternal Fetal Specialist.

August 3rd was our appointment to see the specialist. We walked in there that day ready to take on whatever it may be. Never did we expect to hear the baby has Anencephaly it will only live minutes to 2 weeks outside the womb if it doesn't pass before then. That same day we found out she was a GIRL!

We have decided to carry her as long as the Lord will let us!
