Amazing Grace Equine Sanctuary

Amazing Grace Equine Sanctuary is dedicated to saving the lives of unwanted, abused, or neglected horses. We intend to raise funds for the sanctuary by designing and selling t-shirts. The funds will be donated and used to ensure the future of the sanctuary. According to the Humane Society of the United States, over 100,000 horses are sent across our borders to Canada and Mexico for slaughter each year. Out of these horses, 92.3% of them are in good condition including ex-racehorses, weanlings, and even pregnant mares. Amazing Grace Equine Sanctuary is dedicated to caring for unwanted and neglected horses. With the average cost to care for a single horse per year at approximately $4000, funding is a limiting factor to their development. This fundraiser will not only provide funds for the Sanctuary but also increase awareness for the continuing needs of neglected horses.

"I have been blessed beyond measure, to be stubborn, brave and fortunate enough to create and fulfill my dream in my life ~ providing a safe haven for horses in need!! As I am approaching my 60th birthday...(what???) my heart has been heavy with concern and worry that the future of AGES is not completely 100% certain. While we have done amazing work these past 10 years thanks to YOU ALL ~ I am driven to find a way to create not only an office for AGES but a larger building that could serve visitors, classes of children to learn about our mission, a meeting room for not only board member meetings...but to serve us in many ways. It is - to me - the last piece of the puzzle AGES needs to secure it's future saving horses in and around Wisconsin. We have saved almost 200 souls in our 10+ years of service. We have trained thousands of volunteers and also educated them in the plight of the unwanted or slaughter bound horse. We have raised awareness across the midwest, we have sweated blood and tears helping those who could not help themselves and diligently served our mission with unyielding courage and tenacity. We have done much good...and we are proud of what we've accomplished. I WANT TO DO MORE! I WANT TO SECURE THE FUTURE OF THIS COMPOUND, OF THIS OASIS, AND GUARANTEE YOU THAT WE WILL BE HERE FOR DECADES TO COME!! But guess what? We need your help like never before....! We would like to use our existing buildings (the tack room and it's upper level and continue into the upper level of the garage next to it) to build our needed facility to ensure our future. I know its a huge undertaking. It needs extensive repairs. It needs electricity and plumbing (bathroom). It needs much......and it will cost much!! AGES has $13,000 saved for this project. We will likely need close to $75k? I am talking to you from my heart....if you have appreciated what we've done here in our decade of service. If you've loved the stories of rescue, rehab, rejoice and rehome.....if you've been with us in spirit, heart, and soul I need you to help us get this project off the ground THIS YEAR!!! I am turning 60 on April 6th. I'm not super happy about that.....but it is pivotal to me to "finish" this haven we call Amazing Grace Equine Sanctuary by getting this building completed. By using what is already here....and making it great for all of you to see, visit and even (God willing) utilize the guest house!! Are you with me? Do you trust me? Do you have faith in our future...in where we've been and where we're going? Our resources are almost depleted due to the LONG cold winter and the appetites of 21 equines in our care! We had to order more hay....and use more of our savings to see ourselves through. We do not back down to challenges!! I know I don't!! Will you help me.......get us where we need to be, to ensure AGES for your children......and maybe even your grandchildren? That is my wish. John and I put all of our savings into securing this facility to help horses in need. Now we need you....to help secure the long-term future of our work! I hope you are all .............with me!
