About this campaign

Looking forward to our 14th tournament in a few weeks! We wanted to drop this year's limited edition hat, all proceeds from the hat will be donated to the AMM Scholarship.

We still have space available if you want to join us in Granville!

For those who support the scholarship and did not know Gus, thank you. Here is how those of us lucky enough to know him remember our friend Gus.

Gus was passionate about his interests, perpetually happy and kind, and loved to have a good time – a model Denisonian socially and academically. He was a natural athlete who played lacrosse and dove through high school.

As other interests took hold at Denison, athletics transitioned into more of a hobby, like they do for many of us during college, but Gus was always an avid golfer, going back to his childhood in Chattanooga, and would always play 9 or 18 at Raccoon International. Gus passed away in 2011 just before his senior year, but not before making a lasting impact on those who knew him.

Gus’ character is what inspired this event and what brings us together to celebrate his memory each year, it is a legacy which perfectly reflects his identity in life – somebody inclusive to all, generous to others, and passionate about his friendships. Gus was a remarkable person, and even the relatively short time most of us knew him was more than enough for him to make a lasting impact on us; the longevity and success of this event over 10 years later is a testament to that.
