The American Red Cross of Massachusetts is part of the largest and most diverse service organization in the United States. We serve the 6.6 million residents of the cities and towns of Massachusetts.

We provide food and shelter in emergencies, operate the largest food pantryin New England, teach lifesaving skills, train nurses aides andcertify nursing assistants, serve members of the Armed Forcesand their families, and more. All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the people of the commonwealth.

We respond to hundreds of fires in our region each year, serving families who have faced personal disaster; we monitor storm damage, serve first-responders fighting brush fires, and shelter those who have lost everything.

To do all this we train a volunteer corps of thousands to be ready if disaster ever should strike our community.

Volunteers constitute an average of 95 percent of the American Red Cross workforce. Our volunteers train in specialties such as shelter management, mass feeding, technology, casework, and much more. They are ready to deploy here or anywhere we’re called to serve in the U.S.

This holiday season, give something that means something. Help the Red Cross of Massachusetts continue to serve and help the communities around us in their time of greatest need.
