The Eddy House and Custom Ink - Art Belongs Here at Wingfield Park

Be part of the team! With your support, our friends at Custom Ink will transform the wall on the fork of the river at Wingfield Park into an original work of art.

The Eddy House is teaming up with Custom Ink’s Three Hearts Volunteer Team on September 11, to paint an original mural at Wingfield Park at the fork of the Truckee River. This public art project is made possible, in part, by the 2nd ever Art Belongs Here grant program launched by the City of Reno’s Arts & Culture Commission. The concrete retaining wall will serve as the “canvas” for a unique design inspired by the native and native-like trout that travel the Truckee for spawning, the rich ecosystems that inhabit our watershed and finally, our prized lakes that the Truckee connects like a heartbeat. We hope to inspire a sense of sportsmanship and stewardship to this well patronized piece of our city.

The funds raised through this campaign will directly support The Eddy House in its mission to work with homeless and at-risk youth to develop the life and job skills necessary for sustainable independence.

Since 2011, Eddy House has provided resources towards stabilizing youth who have experienced homelessness and/or are considered high risk. Our population includes those who have been in foster care, are runaways, or have been forced out of their home situation. We continue to strive with our provided services to end youth homelessness in Northern Nevada. We are thankful for Custom Ink’s invitation to collaborate on this project.
