About this campaign
Artists have always and continue to get us through some of the toughest times in our society because of the transformative art we create!
During this time, we realize more than ever that #ArtistsAreEssential. Unfortunately, many artists are suffering from a loss of work and are struggling to support themselves and their families. This is the case for the teachers, dancers and families of Red Clay Dance Company (RCDC).
RCDC is the brainchild of Vershawn Sanders-Ward, the 11-year-old institutions’ Founder & Artistic Director. Founded in 2008 and based on the South side of Chicago, the organization lives to awaken “glocal” change through creating, performing and teaching dances of the African Diaspora–change that transforms cultural, and socio-economic inequities in our local and global community.
