About this campaign

This booster will be used to help fund a trip for 11 women to spend a week in Haiti at the Haiti Deaf Academy. We will be working with deaf children in their community. The trip costs $875 per person, plus the cost of our international flight. We will be splitting the profits earned through this fundraiser evenly when the campaign is finished!

We will be working in a Deaf community, helping them rebuild their lives after the 2010 earthquake. The Haiti Deaf Academy helps the many children born into hearing families who do not have the skills to communicate with them, nor the funds to send their children to school.



We are a group of 11 women (Angela Dolan, Kaylie Bosch, Renee Grice, Joy DeWeese, Dawn Scott, Erin Royse, Jessica Sloan, Marja Davis, Michelle Freeman, Rachael White, and Heather Stone) that are made up of deaf educators, interpreters, and lovers of sign language! This will be our first time visiting the Haiti Deaf Academy and we are excited to share out knowledge of American Sign Language and to help out however we are needed as well as learning about their culture, community, and language.
