About this campaign

"Q", as a 7th grader", is a straight "A" student who is enrolled in all AP courses and plays basketball for the Austin Blazers.

"Q", as a 7th grader, is a straight "A" student who is enrolled in all Pre-AP courses as well as high school classes. "Q" realizes that there is only a minuscule chance of anybody making the NBA, so his dreams are to become an Orthopedic Surgeon.

He plays football, basketball, track, soccer, and tennis for his middle school team, as well as select/club football and basketball. Currently, in basketball season there are different AAU teams that want "Q" to play on their basketball teams, but he chooses to play for the "Austin Blazers".

The Austin Blazers are a 7th grade select basketball team out of Austin, Texas. Much different than most other select basketball teams, the Austin Blazers are an academically focused team that is teaching their players that they are students first and athletes second. The players, coaches, and parents are extremely dedicated to the game of basketball, and in their eyes, basketball is much more than just a game. It is an opportunity to work with kids, build their confidence, and help them become self motivated, which will undoubtedly help them in life.

Many parents, including myself, believe that it is our on son's responsibility to help raise the funds affiliated with this team, which is about $2,000 per player. Their season runs from January 2015 to September 2015, and includes state tournaments, and 6-8 other tournaments that are at least 200 miles away.

As his primary fundraiser, "Q" designed the above t-shirt (on his own), drafted out everything you are reading, and is asking you (his extended friends) to help him reach his goal.

As you can see in this picture, "Q" is a tough basketball player. He has already broken his nose this season while going up for a rebound. After no time at all, he was back on the courts fighting for more rebounds.

Thank you very much for your support.
