ABOUT AVERY PACHECO
Avery Pacheco was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on August 24, 2019. Up until two weeks before her diagnosis, she was a completely healthy 9 year old. She started the 4th grade and like always, spent several nights at the cheer gym tumbling, stunting, and training with her team. After being diagnosed, Avery had surgery to place a port in her chest and began a 2 and half year treatment plan. Over the last 15 months, Avery has endured countless chemotherapy treatments, spinal taps, bone marrow biopsies, blood draws, chemo side effects, months of physical therapy learning to walk again and regain her strength, and multiple hospital stays. While facing her own challenges, Avery has stepped up to help families impacted by pediatric cancer by joining forces with Salood, a Texas based nonprofit! Avery and Salood’s design contributor Kathryn Sukey collaborated and created the perfect sweatshirt just in time for the holiday season. Avery’s BrAvery's sweatshirt is raising money for Salood to distribute to families impacted by pediatric cancer.
