We are a non-profit organization that is devoted to the conservation and understanding of raptor species worldwide. Our mission is to make the world a better place for raptors through education and science. Our vision is to improve awareness and appreciation of raptors by providing a variety of educational programs to the public. We offer raptor and falconry experiences using trained raptors in order for the public to not only enjoy these beautiful birds up close but to have a better understanding of their role in our ecosystem as an apex predator. The ancient culture of Falconry played a pioneering role in raptor conservation and the Center will honor that heritage through ethical practices and education.

Our ultimate vision for the Center is to be specialty wildlife center dedicated exclusively to raptors for the public to visit and enjoy a collection of international species. This future would include providing medical care and rehabilitation to injured or sick raptors as well as offering avian medicine internships.

Currently, Northern Arizona raptors have no place to go for help if they are injured or sick. They are often euthanized or go to individuals not competent to care for these raptors. If an injured or sick raptor is lucky enough to have someone drive three hours to the Phoenix area, they are still enduring a tremendous amount of stress and fear as well as discomfort and pain. Obviously, some are so sick or injured that the drive itself could mean death. In addition, Northern Arizona does not have an Avian Veterinarian; therefore, even healthy raptors have to endure long, stressful car rides to see their doctors. IRFC wants to change all of this!!
