Bad to the Bone Marrow

Earlier this year, Bobby was diagnosed with blood cancer. Thankfully, the dedicated doctors at Dana-Farber discovered it early and have been closely monitoring his condition ever since.

Recently, Bobby learned that he will need a bone marrow transplant. With DeeDee by his side, he’s been making regular trips to Dana-Farber for medications, blood transfusions, lab tests, and multi-team doctor visits.

While there have been some setbacks — including the need to see additional specialists — we remain hopeful that his transplant will begin soon.

Bobby and DeeDee have sacrificed so much and continue to face each challenge with strength and determination. Bobby is not someone who ever asks for help, but this journey has shown us how much community support truly matters.

As a family, we want to give back. Alongside Bobby’s fundraising page, we’re raising money for the American Cancer Society. Not every patient has the same support system or financial means for treatment. Donations to the American Cancer Society help provide critical resources, research, and hope to patients and families in need.

Funds raised through our efforts will go partly to support Bobby’s care and partly to the American Cancer Society, helping others who are fighting their own battles.
