About this campaign

As New England Basset Hound Rescue celebrates its 25th anniversary, we're honoring a quarter century of second chances, wagging tails, and forever homes.

Since 2001, NEBHR has rescued hundreds and hundreds of Basset Hounds and Basset mixes, giving the abandoned, unwanted, and homeless a fresh start. Every rescue story has been made possible by the generosity of supporters like you.

Bassetpalooza, our largest and only annual in-person fundraiser, helps fund the veterinary care, medications, transportation, and everyday expenses that make rescue possible. By purchasing a commemorative 25th Anniversary Bassetpalooza t-shirt, you're not just celebrating how far we've come. You're helping fund the next chapter of rescue for the hounds who will need us in the year ahead.

Wear your shirt proudly knowing it represents 25 years of compassion, commitment, and so many lives changed.

Since 2001, New England Basset Hound Rescue has been dedicated to helping Basset Hounds in need across the six New England states. Founded by a group of passionate Basset lovers, NEBHR was built on a simple belief: every dog deserves a safe, loving home. Today, NEBHR is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers. From the Board of Directors to foster families, transport volunteers, home visit coordinators, and event organizers, every person involved donates their time and energy to help hounds find their forever homes. Unlike traditional shelters, NEBHR operates through a foster-based rescue model. Our dogs live in caring foster homes where they receive medical care, stability, and love while waiting for adoption. Most come to us as owner surrenders or strays, often arriving confused, neglected, or facing medical challenges. Through the dedication of our volunteers and supporters, these dogs are given the opportunity to heal, thrive, and begin a new chapter. NEBHR has successfully placed nearly 1,600 Basset Hounds and Basset mixes into loving forever homes. We work closely with shelters and Animal Control Officers throughout New England to ensure that when a Basset Hound needs help, there is a rescue ready to answer the call.

Every adoption, every foster placement, every veterinary procedure, and every happy ending is made possible by the generosity of our supporters. When you support Bassetpalooza, you're not just helping fund an event. You're helping write the next chapter in a rescue story that has changed the lives of hounds and humans throughout New England. ❤️
