Be You Stay True-Year 6

In prepping for the Be You Stay True Program camp each year we sell shirts to commemorate the on going success of our program within the Bronx. From camp participants, to volunteers, parents, and supporters people have always supported the “Brand”, Be You Stay True!

With the funds raised, we usually go out and buy new equipment, trophies, and certificates for the kids, but being we are going virtual this year we have shifted our focus.

Within my current role in the Office of Admissions at the College of Mount Saint Vincent - I’m looking to make a difference at both my institution and for a young person of color looking to attend CMSV.

This year 100% of the funds raised from these t-shirt sales will go to a BYST Scholarship fund that will be awarded in the name of George Floyd for the 2020 - 2021 academic year. I have continued to come to understand that my ability to impact should not be restricted to only the kids in my community through basketball — but through various avenues that I am involved in.

This idea didn’t come on my own, credit to Debbie Carroll Hoyle for checking in on me 3 weeks ago to see how I was doing. Looking forward to creating positive change and I ask that if you are too, consider purchasing one shirt.

The sale ends Monday, June 29th to ensure every child gets a shirt before camp.
