About this campaign

I am blessed and honored to be able to travel back to the country that has captured my heart. I will be traveling with a team to Copan, Honduras to serve alongside Legacy of Hope Foundation. I will be leaving May 10th, and staying for 7 weeks. During this time, I will be teaching pre-school and helping in their foster home. I am SO excited to do what I love, where I love.

Legacy of Hope Foundation began after Matt and Marianne Spangler answered a call from God to move to Honduras with their family. I have been able to travel down and work with them twice before, totaling 3 weeks time. I have seen first hand what they do and all they sacrifice for the children and staff that they serve. Here is there story, taken directly from legacyofhopefoundation.org.

"We are a foster home for infants and children up to the age of 4. We primarily accept abandoned babies and are currently the only institution in our region of the countryto accept abandoned children. We care for our children until there is no longer a need. That could be a few weeks, months and in some cases forever. After a child is placed with us, IHNFA begins the search for their families. Once the family is located, IHNFA does a study of their home, health (mental and physical) and financial means. If the family is willing to care for the baby and are proven able, the baby is transitioned out of our home and into the custody their relatives. If the family is not proven able to care for the baby they stay in our care and the family is allowed scheduled visits during our visiting hours each week. If no family can be located and the process to declare abandonment is completed, the child will be eligible for adoption. In a situation like this, our family will be given first right to adopt and we will welcome another child into our forever family."

Along with the foster home, they also run a feeding program for children and aid in a church plant in Cacao, on the other side of the country. I appreciate any support you can give, whether it be financial or prayer, and I thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
