CommunityGrows is a community-driven organization committed to empowering disadvantaged youth through outdoor education and community engagement. We partner with local organizations to cultivate environmental stewardship, leadership, and essential life skills. We are convinced that universal access to nutritious food, vibrant gardens, and cultural enrichment is a fundamental right. Our mission is to equip economically challenged youth with the tools they need to thrive, fostering healthy and engaged individuals.

To achieve our mission, we offer three core programs: Seed to Mouth, Environmental Education, and BEETs (Band of Environmentally Educated and Employable Teens). The Environmental Education Program introduces elementary students to topics like solar energy, plant growth, and nutrition, promoting teamwork and academic excellence. Support from donors like you enables us to nurture environmentally conscious students. The Seed to Mouth Program utilizes community garden produce to conduct weekly garden and nutrition classes, encouraging healthy eating habits among youth. Our BEETs Internship program provides teenagers with job readiness skills and leadership training, instilling a commitment to environmental stewardship and food justice.

Over three decades, CommunityGrows has made a significant impact on local communities, shaping responsible leaders through nature, education, and partnerships. Our programs reach over 800 youth, fostering healthier lifestyles and social equity for a brighter future.
