About this campaign

Being Alive is the first peer-driven HIV/AIDS nonprofit organization in Los Angeles! We were founded by 3 friends in 1986 and are still dedicated to providing essential services and support to individuals living with HIV/AIDS in our community.

Our mission for this fundraiser is clear: to celebrate Pride by directly empowering our community and ensuring that every dollar raised supports those who need it most. Unlike corporate Pride initiatives that often prioritize profit over people, our campaign is rooted in genuine care and community spirit.

By purchasing a T-shirt, you are not just wearing a symbol of our Pride; you are actively contributing to:

• Client Services: 1 shirt purchase can provide 12 acupuncture or chiropractic treatments to alleviate pain and improve our clients' well-being.

• Community Outreach: 1 shirt purchase can provide 100 condoms to help stop the spread of HIV and STIs.

• Mental Health Support: 2 shirt purchases can provide a free mental health therapy appointment.
