About this campaign

The BHMC Shirt Fundraiser supports the 2026 Black History Month Committee in creating high-impact cultural programming for the Brooklyn College community. Every shirt purchased directly funds student-led events, workshops, performances, and collaborative campus initiatives under this year’s theme: From the Block to the Diaspora.

For 2026, the Black History Month Committee set out to create a month of programming that reflects who we truly are: creative, global, powerful, and deeply connected. From the Block to the Diaspora isn’t just a theme — it’s a bridge between our everyday lives in New York City and the worldwide histories that shaped us.

This fundraiser helps us build those bridges. Every shirt purchased directly supports the events, conversations, art, and community moments that make Black History Month meaningful on our campus.

We’re not backed by major sponsors. We’re backed by students — students who believe in the importance of our cultural legacy. Students who want to see themselves represented. Students who know that we are the past, present, and future of Brooklyn College.
