About this campaign
South Korea has the world’s 14th largest economy, it is not a poor country; it is home to global brands such as Samsung, Hyundai, Kia, LG, SK, and Daewoo. But, incongruously, this is also a country where an estimated 2.5 million dogs and thousands of cats are slaughtered and eaten each year.
Forced to endure deprivation and unimaginable torture, from the moment they are born until the day they are slaughtered, dogs are imprisoned in cramped, filthy, raised cages all thr lives, with no protection from extreme weather. They get no water, exercise, companionship or medical care, and they lie or stand on wire caging - they never get to feel the ground beneath their feet - and their eardrums are often burst to deter barking.
In broad daylight, often in front of other living dogs, these creatures are slaughtered in painful and inhumane ways: they are electrocuted, hanged, beaten, have their throats slashed, or are boiled or burnt to death. This is a profit-driven, tax-free, unregulated industry that aggressively promotes the myth that eatingogs enhances male virility and stamina. And, consumption peaks during the hottest days of summer (Boknal).
This eating of companion animals has no place in the modern world, it must be stopped, and we are campaigning vigorously to bring it to an end. 100% of the funds raised from the sale of these shirts will be donated to the Busan KAPCA(Korea Alliance for the Prevention of Cruelty). http://koreandogs.org/info/aro/busan-kapca/

It needs to stop
I believe the cat and dog meat trade is horrific and barbaric and needs to be stopped. the mindless and senseless slaughter of these beautiful animals is heartbreaking and needless. they are our companion animals NOT food.
It breaks my heart to know that dogs and cats are suffering in South Korea. No animal deserves such torture. I can't ever count how may petitions I have signed to try to help. This needs to end. I wish I could save them all from their abusers.
I can only say that I honestly wish the same suffering would happen to all the perpetrators of this evil, monstrous, barbaric " trade "!! Do they know or care how much the " ordinary " world loathe them??? I doubt it!
It brakes my heart that this is happening to these beautiful creatures' is there not enough animals being slaughtered for food It MUST STOP NOW
There is no need for this cruelty even if you do agree with earing meat the way these dogs are treated is absolutely disgusting.
