About this campaign

Meet Bones, a severely emaciated little Frenchie who was given a second chance at life thanks to The Church of Pug. Now Bones is fighting his way back to health one meal at a time! We're selling T-shirts to help the incredible rescue that saved him continue saving others. 100% of the money raised goes directly to The Church of Pug. Buy a shirt, spread the love, and help give the next little Bones a chance to become PHAT Bones! ❤️

THE BONES CHRONICLES
One Little Frenchie. One Big Fight
A severely emaciated little Frenchie puppy who was literally fighting for his life. His story began when his previous owners reportedly decided that if he wouldn't eat the dry food they provided, he simply wouldn't eat at all. As his condition deteriorated, they eventually decided to give him away. Thankfully, a neighbor recognized just how desperate the situation had become and stepped in. That's when the incredible people at The Church of Pug entered the picture. They took Bones into their rescue and rushed him to the hospital, where veterinarians worked to stabilize his fragile little body. He was in CRITICAL condition, with concerns about a possible intestinal obstruction or another serious medical problem. The little guy had absolutely nothing left in reserve. But he had something his rescuers refused to give up on. A FIGHTING CHANCE. And fight he did.

ENTER VERA. Now, Vera will tell you that we agreed to "foster" this little guy. Apparently, her definition of fostering involves falling completely in love, rearranging our lives, and making sure this dog eats better than I do. I'm fairly certain Bones has already been added to the will.

Today, Bones is slowly gaining weight, receiving veterinary care, and enjoying something every dog deserves: a full belly, a safe home, and people who love him. He's also discovered the joys of pooping EVERYWHERE. I suggested an old-school housebreaking technique. Vera responded with a detailed explanation of how she could remove my liver through my ear canal. So we're exploring alternative training methods. But underneath all the jokes is a little dog who nearly didn't get the opportunity to experience any of this. And that's where YOU come in.

Bones journey started with a neighbor who refused to look the other way and the incredible people at The Church of Pug, who stepped in when this little guy was fighting for his life. Now it's our turn to step up. We're launching this T-shirt fundraiser to help with Bones recovery, thank the people who saved him, and help other animals who desperately need a second chance.

100% OF THE MONEY RAISED GOES DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH OF PUG!
Every dollar will go to the rescue organization that gave Bones his fighting chance, helping them continue their lifesaving work. Hugo has already experienced the kindness of strangers. No fanfare. No expectations. Just people doing something incredibly kind for a little dog who desperately needed help. Your kindness is exactly what paying it forward is all about. Now we're hoping to turn that kindness into something even bigger. Buy a shirt, spread the word, or simply share Hugo's story. Because somewhere out there is another little Bones, waiting for someone to give him a chance. And if you're wondering how Bones is doing today, he's eating like a king, gaining weight, and pooping like a malfunctioning soft-serve ice cream machine. Vera is thrilled. My carpet has filed for divorce. And I'm apparently one poop-related incident away from having my liver removed without anesthesia. But watching this little guy get stronger every day? WORTH EVERY MINUTE OF IT. To The Church of Pug, the neighbor who stepped in and everyone who has supported Hugo's journey: THANK YOU! You helped turn a heartbreaking beginning into a story of hope. Now let's help The Church of Pug write a few more happy endings.
