Bonnie's Bunch would like to continue the tradition of creating a beautiful t-shirt to not only earn funds to help the research and cure of blood cancers, but to spread the word about Blood Cancer United!
It’s hard to believe Bonnie has been gone for over 22 years. In that time, Bonnie’s Bunch has raised more than $550,000 to support the fight against blood cancers. The last time we gathered at Yosemite National Park, we raised over $100,000! This year, our goal is even bigger: $200,000!
You may have noticed a new name! The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is now known as Blood Cancer United, but their mission remains the same: to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other blood cancers, and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
Over the years, Blood Cancer United has made incredible strides. They are the largest nonprofit funder of leading-edge research for every type of blood cancer, investing nearly $1.8 billion in groundbreaking work. Their efforts have led to major advances in immunotherapy, genomics, and precision medicine. iscoveries that not only help people with blood cancers but are also transforming treatments for many other types of cancer.
Blood Cancer United is expanding its commitment to children by funding innovative research and new targeted therapies for pediatric blood cancers, so that young patients can have safer, more effective treatment options and brighter futures.
People often ask why I continue to raise money year after year. The short answer is simple: because we still need a cure. Every year, I meet new teammates with their own reasons to fight, or someone sees my Team In Training shirt and tells me their story. It seems there’s hardly anyone today who hasn’t been touched by cancer in some way.
That’s why I keep fundraising. For every family affected by blood cancer, and for everyone battling any cancer. Blood Cancer United’s research and advocacy efforts make a difference far beyond one diagnosis, they’re helping all of us.
On June 13, 2026, I’ll be joining my Team In Training teammates at Yosemite National Park as we come together once again to raise funds and awareness in the fight to find a cure.
I’m so grateful for your continued support over the years, and I hope you’ll join me again this year as we remain RELENTLESS for a cure!
