About this campaign
Jeff Richgels loves bowling... but more than bowling he loves Boxers. This fundraiser is held in loving memory of two knuckleheaded boxers he cherished: Norman and Clifford. Both these Boxer boys had personality plus and will always hold a place in his heart. Jeff's next dog will be a foster or rescued Boxer (or two) because when you adopt a dog, you adopt a best friend and family member.
Animal rescues like Green Acres Boxer Rescue are always in need of funding to cover costly vet bills, basic supplies, transportation, etc. Here is your chance to help: purchase a shirt. All proceeds after printing/shipping costs will go to the Green Acres Boxer Rescue of Wisconsin.
Green Acres Boxer Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Boxers find loving forever homes in the state of Wisconsin and upper Michigan. They work closely with shelters and other rescue groups across the state and are a member of Wisconsin Dog Rescue. They are also an affiliate member of the American Boxer Rescue Association.
Approximately half of their incoming dogs are surrendered directly by their owners for various reasons. The other half are from shelters, many of which are unclaimed strays. With unknown backgrounds, these dogs require special attention as they are brought back to optimum health.
Upon arrival to Green Acres Boxer Rescue, EACH dog is taken to a veterinarian for a thorough physical exam. They are brought current on all vaccinations, heartworm tested, fecal tested, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered. As you can imagine, these tests/treatments are costly.
Volunteers and Fosters then take the time to evaluate each Boxer's temperament so he/she can be placed in the best home possible. These wonderful people are located all over the state and work very hard to help Boxer's in need. We too have lost 2 Boxers and are currently seeking another. Beanie and Bear were a huge part of our family and they left a huge hole when they left. We love Boxers and currently supply Boxer wind chimes to other rescues. Average is 211
Norman and Clifford were "little brothers" to our dog, and I can't think of a better way to honor those two. A great organization that does so very much for these wonderful dogs!!
