About this campaign

On March 15th Milton was diagnosed with Glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer. This brain cancer is a very high grade aggressive type of cancer. March 17th the neurosurgeon removed as much of the tumor as possible, but in order to not cause more health problems some was left. Milton has already gone through radiation treatments and 2 rounds of chemo since 11428476_467176946773965_2877962233778649355_njpg11055285_910913795598839_2428385546427035415_njpg11070957_453827758108884_1490302729054647337_njpghe was diagnosed. The cancer is located on the left side of his brain around the motor function and this causes Milton to have coordination problems, muscle weakness on his right side and has interfered with memory function also.

In May Milton began having seizures because of the large amount of swelling this is causing in his brain. Again in June he was hospitalized because of the seizures and was sent to Cleveland clinic for a second opinion. In total so far he has had 8 seizures and is on 2 anti-seizures medications to help control them. On August 11th Milton found out the treatments so far have helped to slightly slow the cancer but have not stopped the cancer and that it is continuing to grow. Because of this cancer Milton is unable to work and makes everyday task difficult. He now travels to Cleveland clinic monthly or more for treatments. On top of the cancer he is also diabetic and all the medications are messing with his blood sugar levels causing them to too high even with insulin and diet restrictions.

Milton is fighting everyday to overcome this horrible disease so he can be with his family and be able to hold his first grandchild which is due to arrive late February of 2016.

My aunt just passed away from brain cancer a couple weeks ago. Plus I lost my sister to leukemia a year ago. All cancers are horrible and put a great toll on all involved. Having others' support helps relieve that just a bit.
