About this campaign

Your purchase helps us:

Provide exceptional care for our therapy horses, including feed, farrier care, veterinary care, supplements, and other necessities.

Provide scholarships and reduced-cost services so finances do not have to be the reason someone cannot access equine-assisted psychotherapy.

Maintain a safe, welcoming environment where clients can experience therapy outside of a traditional office setting.

Expand access to equine-assisted psychotherapy for children, teens, and adults struggling with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, depression, grief, and other mental health concerns.

Purchase and maintain the equipment and supplies needed to safely care for our horses and provide programming.

Support community outreach, educational opportunities, and programs that allow more people to experience the connection, regulation, confidence, and healing that can happen alongside horses.

Brave Ground Equine Therapy was created from a love of horses, a belief in the power of the human-animal connection, and a desire to make mental health care feel different for people who may not thrive within the four walls of a traditional therapy office.

We believe horses have an incredible ability to help people slow down, become present, build trust, develop confidence, and connect with emotions that can sometimes be difficult to put into words. Brave Ground brings that connection together with professional mental health treatment, providing equine-assisted psychotherapy led by licensed mental health clinicians who also have extensive experience with horses.

As a nonprofit, our goal is to make this type of therapy accessible to children, teens, and adults regardless of their financial circumstances. Donations and fundraisers like this one help us provide scholarships and reduced-cost services, care for our therapy horses, purchase necessary equipment and supplies, maintain a safe environment for clients and horses, and continue expanding our programs within the community.

Our horses are not simply part of the program. They are our partners, and their physical and emotional well-being is just as important to us as the people who walk through our gates.
