Support 10 years of Violence Prevention and Awareness

About this campaign

Throughout our 10 years as a nonprofit we have helped thousands of people connect to their own story as a launching off point for how we can get involved in the larger conversation of violence prevention. We all have the ability to change the rates at which interpersonal violence impacts us, as long as we are willing to lean into having hard, safe conversation about subjects we typically do not want to talk about. Our goal of $10,000 for 10 years gives us the ability to provide our programming to more universities, more breweries, more private businesses and more communities. Through our trainings and conversation starters, people are given the space and tools to start Breaking the Silence and begin to move the needle on how sexual assault and domestic violence impacts us in our every day lives.

Every person knows or is someone who has been impacted by these acts of violence, and we are here to ensure that these crimes no longer live in silence but are defeated by our collective knowing that we are not alone and our story matters.

We can move through feelings of loss, shame and guilt by knowing we are believed and not alone. Violence thrives inside of silence, so our first step in disrupting these cycles is to start talking, to start believing and to know that through empathy and kindness we can create a world full of healed people.

Empathy, curiosity and challenging conversations drive connection and give us space to start speaking out and create communities where we start with "I Believe You."
