At 26 years old, I found a lump on my left breast. I luckily had a doctors appointment the next day and decided to just ask about it. The doctor referred us to a breast specialist who wanted to biopsy the area just to check. After multiple biopsy’s, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer. They were very aggressive and ended up doing a lumpectomy, 2 types of Chemotherapy, and radiation. After About a year and a half at a 6 month mammogram, they found calcifications in the same area as my last cancer and wanted to check it just in case. Sure enough I once again have Stage 1 Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma. This time we are planning on a double mastectomy with reconstruction. Surgery is May 20th. All the money for this fundraiser will go to helping us pay off some of the medical bills to come from the doctors and the medical bills we currently owe.
