Caribbean Strong/BVI Strong - Hurricane Irma & Maria Fundraiser

While the Caribbean region is no stranger to hurricanes, the 2017 hurricane season wreaked havoc on these island nations like never before. Within the space of two weeks, many of the islands were slammed by not just one but two Category 5 hurricanes.

Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria touched down on several islands including the U.S. Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands (BVI), Puerto Rico, Anguilla, St. Maarten, Barbuda, and Dominica, with many of them suffering from a direct hit. Homes, schools, churches, businesses and sadly, lives have been lost.

Across most of these islands the damage has been extensive and the recovery process slow. Due to the extensive damage to the islands' communication and infrastructure networks, it has been difficult to mobilize support. Thankfully, HOPE worldwide has been on the ground working with local HOPE chapters to assist those who need it most.

This #OpenHeart #CaribbeanStrong campaign seeks to support the most vulnerable groups in these islands. With proceeds going directly to HOPE worldwide Caribbean chapters, you can be assured that the funds will be distributed based on the greatest needs on the ground.
